Sisters In Action
On a local level, members participate in a variety of community service events and
involved with several non-for-profit organizations and charitable events.
SIA volunteers with Cities’ Cares Days, a national day of service that includes such
projects as painting public elementary schools and cleaning playgrounds in metropolitan
cities across America. Members also participate in walks including the AIDS Walk, Alzheimer's
Walk, Race for the Cure, MS Walk and March of Dimes. We also work with organizations like
Special Olympics, volunteer to tutor students and conduct toy/clothing drives during the holiday seasons.
We feel it's our obligation, and privilege to give back to our community. This is not only to the Latino community,
but to causes that impact communities. We hope that we can inspire others, whether they are members of the sisterhood
or not, to help those in need.
We
feel it's our obligation, and privilege to give back
to our community. This is not only to the Latino community,
as can be seen by the extent of involvement above,
but to worthy causes that should matter to every person.
We hope that we can inspire others, whether they be
members of the sisterhood or not, to get out there
and help those in need.
