One Heartland is dedicated to enhancing the lives of children impacted by HIV/AIDS through year-round support, advocacy, recreational programs, and community AIDS awareness efforts.

One Heartland was founded in 1993 to provide children impacted by HIV/AIDS with "the best week of their lives." Since then, it has expanded from a week-long One ing experience to a variety of life enhancing programs and services. Today, One Heartland lifts the veil of secrecy and brings hope, strength, and a safe haven to hundreds of children forever affected by the isolation and tragedy of HIV/AIDS.

Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc., emphasizes the importance of serving our community through a variety of volunteer projects and community services. In February of 2003, SIA adopted One  Heartland as our national philanthropy in response to the great need for awareness of HIV/AIDS in our respective communities.

In order to establish our commitment with this organization, our chapters are required to fund-raise for One Heartland each semester. We also visit One Heartland to volunteer throughout the year. We are listed as official supporters on their site.
