Children International, a nonprofit humanitarian organization, strives to help children around the world overcome the burdens of poverty to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining, and contributing members of society.

This goal is achieved primarily through "individual sponsorship," which unites children in need with individual sponsors who wish to address the children’s immediate and basic needs, and give them the tools and opportunities necessary for success. Sponsor contributions help pay for benefits that each child receives.

As a national organization, Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc., has been involved with Children International since our foundation. In order to maintain our level of involvement within this organization, we require that all of our chapters sponsor a child with the assistance of Children International.
We believe that our Focus, the education and wealth of these children in need, will enrich our future with wisdom and happiness.

Our individual sponsorship includes children within the 19 project locations that Children International has established. Some of these sites include Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, the Philippines, and the U.S.
