SIA to Appear on American Latino TV Program, LatiNation

New York, NY, February 19, 2008– Members of Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. (SIA), along with other members of Latino Greek Lettered organizations, appeared on TV show LatiNation which aired on UPN on Sunday, February 10, 2008, 4pm/5pm Central Time.

LatiNation is a nationally syndicated, half hour program that is broadcast to over 90 markets across the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. The program targets young American Latinos across the nation with a variety of cultural, educational and entertaining topics. LatiNation interviewed various members of Latino Greek-Lettered organizations at the 2007 Latino Step Show held at Lehman College. SIA’s very own, Brenda Tollinchi and Luz Pichardo were two of the interviewees. The segment focused on Latino Greek life and the impact it has on college students, along with the stereotypes that exist within the Latino Greek community.
