Solidaridad Inspiracion Amistad Scholarship

Mary Rodriguez is an 18 year old sophmore from Perth Amboy, NJ. She is currently a Biological Sciences major at Rutgers University. During her high school career, she attended Perth Amboy High School where she maintained a 4.0 GPA. At Rutgers, she holds a 3.0 GPA. While academics are her priority, she is also involved with several clubs. Mary is an active member of the Society of Hispanic Engineers, the current historian for the Latin American Student Organization and the second vice president for the Community of Students involved in Education. During her first semester at Rutgers, she was also an intern with the New Jersey Community Water Watch. Mary has received several awards such as the GEAR UP Student of the Year award. She also recognizes the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community. Over the past several years Mary has volunteered at Elijah's Promise soup kitchen and for Dance Marathon.
